To enjoy sunny days and full lagoons, the best time to visit is between June and September, and you can stay at OIÁ Lençóis or OIÁ Atins.
The rainy season in the Lençóis Maranhenses runs from January to June, peaking between February and May. It is during this period that the lagoons fill up and the landscape transforms into the breathtaking paradise that captivates our guests.

We recommend staying for at least 3 nights to fully enjoy OIÁ Casa Lençóis and all the experiences the destination has to offer, plus 2 additional nights at OIÁ Atins to discover the other side of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
For reservations, we require a minimum stay of 3 nights at OIÁ Casa Lençóis and 2 nights at OIÁ Atins.
OIÁ does not have any age restrictions.
However, some activities are better suited for children aged 5 and older, or for those who already know how to swim and are comfortable with short hikes and walks.
Yes, all transfers are private. Depending on the number of guests, transportation may be provided in a 4×4 vehicle or a van.
Estimated travel times:
From São Luís Airport to OIÁ Casa Lençóis: approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
From São Luís Airport to OIÁ Atins: approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes.
OIÁ Casa Daia: from Jericoacoara Airport to the property, the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Please note that only 4×4 vehicles can access OIÁ.
Due to the characteristics of the region, access to our properties is only possible with 4×4 vehicles. If you are not traveling in a vehicle with this capability, please let us know in advance so that we can arrange your arrival.
OIÁ does not offer overnight stays or day use.
Some of our bungalows have rooms located side by side; however, none of our properties offer connecting rooms.
With a buyout reservation, where the entire property is booked exclusively for your group, we can accommodate:
Because we are in a natural and preserved environment, it is possible that some insects may appear during your stay — it’s part of the experience in the region. We take all necessary precautions to ensure maximum guest comfort.
To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, we recommend bringing light and comfortable clothing, such as swimwear, shorts, bermudas, UV-protective t-shirts, and cool dresses.
The winds are strong during the excursions, so we suggest bringing caps or hats with ties and scarves to protect your hair.
There’s no need for sneakers: the sand on the dunes doesn’t get hot, and it’s best to walk barefoot.
Don’t forget to pack: Insect repellent, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
Yes, OIÁ offers internet access in both the common areas and the rooms.
As we are located in a natural and remote setting, the connection may occasionally be unstable or fluctuate.

OIÁ operates on a full-board basis, with all meals included in your stay.

OIÁ Atins and OIÁ Casa Daia feature swimming pools for guests to enjoy.
OIÁ Casa Lençóis does not have a swimming pool. However, we offer a variety of other amenities and exceptional experiences designed to make your stay truly memorable.
At the moment, OIÁ does not accommodate pets.
Our properties and experiences involve nature-based activities, including walks and longer transfers, which do not provide the ideal level of comfort and safety for pets. For this reason, we are currently unable to welcome animals.
